Feed-In Tariff (FIT)
Ontario is being heralded globally for its environmentally proactive
Feed-In
Tariff (FIT, formerly RESOP: Ontario's Renewable Energy Standard Offer Program). This program follows the model of other successful European incentive programs,
and offers an incentive for electricity generated from renewable sources (such as wind, water, or biofuels), plus
a bonus for local ownership and/or local content. Incentives range from $0.103/kWh for landfill gas to $0.135/kWh
for wind up to $0.802/kWh for house-scale solar PV. Mindscape's consulting team specializes in unlocking the mysteries of this program and in

Several projects in Ontario have been cancelled or rendered financially
unfeasible because connection and environmental requirements were not fully considered in advance.

- Cost-value studies for various assessments required, and final determination of whether
required assessments or connection expenses may be prohibitive.
Project Implementation Services:
- Environmental Impact Assessments or exemption letters;
- Completing and filing FIT and related applications;
- Evaluation of utility connection options, and support for detailed connection design.
